In 2004, a visionary businessman (K.M Rashal) started his journey in this sector after realizing the future demand for mobile accessories. At first, he started bringing products of different brands based in China to Bangladesh during his earlier business career. He always emphasizes where the needs of the consumers are. It was rare to find high-quality products in the market at that time and then the traditional market for low-quality products continued. Bangladeshi consumers were deprived of all the latest inventions in the world.
In 2009, for the first time, AWEI brand started its activities as officially national distribution in Bangladesh through Mr. K.M. Rashal. Which is the first of any mobile accessories brand to start their activities legally. Which later inspired other brands to come to Bangladesh officially.
K.M. Rashal is the founder and former CEO of Geeoo Trading Company, a trading & Distributing Company. K.M. Rashal is a very visionary and hardworking business leader. Rashal was born in 1986 at Baktabali Union in the Narayanganj district. He From a very young age, he was attracted to new technology. As a student in 2000, he worked in a Camera & accessories store in Baitul Mokaram Market, Gulistan.
Rashal chose to make a risky move into the nascent world of Mobile Accessories in Bangladesh Marketplace. Rashal quit his lucrative job to open Jannat Telecom. He founded Jannat Telecom in 2004 which has been operating as a Geeoo Trading Company since 2019. In the months leading up to launch, a few employees began developing mobile accessories and gadget items with Rashal.
Mahbub Alam joined the company in 2012 as Head of Sales. Until then, the Sundarbans market was the only commercial market for mobile accessories and gadgets. Then Motalib Plaza expanded its reputation as a market for mobile accessories and gadgets.
At that time in Bangladesh, only 3 markets in Dhaka (Sundarban Square Super Market, Dhaka Underground/patal Market, and Motalib Plaza) could meet the demand for mobile accessories all over Bangladesh. Wholesalers from all over the country used to come to Dhaka to buy goods.
To overcome this problem, Rashal changed his business model and started a business through a distribution chain which was the first in Bangladesh in the mobile accessories sector. This think was the major turning point of our business. As a result, the products could be easily delivered to 64 districts of Bangladesh by controlling the prices. This creates many jobs which are beneficial for the country.
At present awei is operating as the number one mobile accessories brand in Bangladesh. Apart from this, Geeoo Accessories was launched in the Bangladeshi market in 2019 with the aim of making quality products affordable to all. Geeoo products are becoming popular with everyone very fast due to their quality & price.
